Oqaasileriffik – the Greenland Language Secretariat launches the first version of Kukkuniiaat , an intelligent Greenlandic spell checker and hyphenation tool, which can be used in Microsoft Word and other programs in Office. With the launching of Kukkuniiaat, an important tool in working with the Greenlandic language, its continued propagation and development has been ensured. From Monday October 16th Kukkuniiaat was opened for download freely from http://www.oqaasileriffik.gl/kukkuniiaat.php?lang=gl&lang=eng as an authorized Windows installation package compiled by Lingsoft Ltd. Simultaneously it will be possible to download updated lexicon lists and a document template which automatically will make Kalaallisut – Greenlandic the standard language when using Word.
